Service Alert: DC Circulator to Modify Service on the US – GT and WP- AM Routes For the First Amendment Demonstrations

The DC Circulator service routes will be impacted on Friday, June 19, 2020, Saturday, June 20, 2020, and Sunday, June 21, 2020, due to planned demonstrations in downtown Washington DC.

The First Amendment Demonstrations will impact service on the following routes, causing multiple road closures and detours. Starting Friday, June 19, 2020, at 6:00 am extending through Sunday, June 21, 2020, to 11:59 pm.

Union Station – Georgetown will experience the following detour:

Westbound Service:

  • The bus will turn right at 12th Street, NW
  • The bus will turn left on Massachusetts Avenue, NW
  • The bus will turn right on M Street, NW
  • The bus will turn left on 19th Street, NW and then will be to regular service along 19th & K St NW

Eastbound Service:

  • The bus will turn left on 18th Street, NW
  • The bus will turn right on Massachusetts Avenue, NW
  • The bus will turn right on 9th Street, NW Bus will turn then left on K Street, NW and be back in-service at 7th -Massachusetts Avenue East Bound

Bus stops impacted:

Westbound Service:

  • 13th & K St NW
  • 14th & K St NW
  • 15th & K St NW
  • 17th & K St NW

Eastbound Service:

  • 17th & K St NW
  • 16th & K St NW
  • 14th & K St NW
  • 12th & K St NW

 

Woodley Park – McPherson Square:

 Service will detour at 14th Street & P Street NW going southbound. The bus will continue around Thomas Circle NW returning north to 14th & P St to start northbound service.

 

Bus stops impacted:

  • 13th and K St NW
  • 14th and I St NW
  • 14th and K St NW

National Mall Route: Service remains suspended
