Service Alert: DC Circulator to Modify Service on the National Mall, Georgetown to Union Station, and Dupont Circle to Rosslyn Routes for the DC Bike Ride 2021

DC Circulator to Modify Service for DC Bike Ride on Saturday, September 25, 2021

The DC Bike Ride will lead to road closures affecting the National Mall, Georgetown – Union Station, and Dupont Circle – Rosslyn route. To accommodate the event, see the following service impacts that will go into effect at the start of service at 7:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday, September 25, 2021.

 

The DC Circulator service on the Dupont Circle– Rosslyn route will be suspended on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 7:00 am until 11:00 am or until  the streets reopen for regular traffic.

 

The Union Station – Georgetown route will begin service with the buses detouring to Pennsylvania Ave NW, and continuing service on M St NW, to Wisconsin Ave NW. The following bus stops below will not be served.

  • K St & 24th NW
  • Lower K St. & 30th NW
  • Lower K St. & Wisconsin Ave NW
  • Wisconsin Ave & M St NW

The National Mall route will begin service on September 25, 2021, with buses running the Museum Loop. This loop serves the museums along the National Mall but will not service the following bus stops along the Tidal Basin or near the Lincoln Memorial:

  • 15th SW & Jefferson Dr.
  • 15th SW near Maine Ave.
  • Basin Dr. SW near Independence Ave.
  • Lincoln Memorial Circle SW
  • Constitution Ave. NW & 21st
  • Constitution Ave. NW & 18th
  • 15th NW & Madison Dr.

Once the activities conclude and the streets reopen, all routes will resume normal service.
