Service Alert: DC Circulator to Modify Service on National Mall and
Union Station to Congress Heights Routes
for State of the Union Address on
April 28, 2021
Washington DC: The State of the Union Address will lead to road closures affecting the National Mall and Union Station to Congress Heights routes. To accommodate the event, the following service changes will be in effect starting at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.
Road closures around the U.S. Capitol will impact bus service on E St, NE & Columbus Circle NE, Massachusetts Ave, NE & Columbus Circle NE, and 8th St, NE & East Capitol St NE.
The DC Circulator service for the National Mall Route will detour to 3rd St SW.
The following stops will not be served:
- E St & Columbus Circle NE
The DC Circulator Service for the Union Station – Congress Heights route will detour to Pennsylvania Ave SE after servicing the 8th & E St. SE bus stop.
The following stops will not be served:
- 8th & East Capitol St SE n/b & s/b
- Massachusetts Ave, NE and Columbus Circle NE
Regular service on both routes will resume on Thursday April 29, 2021.
