Service Alert: DC Circulator to Modify Service on Multiple Routes this Weekend

DC Circulator to Modify Service on NM, US-GT, PS, and US-NY Routes This Weekend for Races and Special Events

Saturday September 23

Union Station-Navy Yard Metro and Potomac Ave Metro-Skyland Routes

Road closures for the annual Barracks Row Festival will impact the Union Station-Navy Yard Metro and Potomac Ave Metro-Skyland routes on 8th Street SE Saturday, September 23. To accommodate the event, buses will detour from 8th Street SE all day. Buses will instead travel along 11th Street SE before turning onto Pennsylvania Ave.

The following stops will not be served:

– 8th St. SE / E St.

– 8th St. SE / G St.

– 8th St. SE / L St.

Temporary stops along 11th Street SE will be served at G Street SE, I (Eye) Street SE, and M Street SE.

Normal service on both routes will resume on Sunday, September 24.

National Mall Route

Road closures and staging areas for the Tour De Cure race will impact the National Mall route at several locations on Saturday, September 23. To accommodate these events, DC Circulator will delay the start of service until 12pm (noon).

Once race activities have finished and streets reopen around 12pm (noon), the route will begin normal service to all stops.

Sunday September 24

Georgetown-Union Station Route

Road closures for the Taste of Georgetown will impact the Georgetown-Union Station route on Lower K Street on Sunday, September 24. To accommodate the event, the following detour will be in effect all day on Sunday. Buses travelling in the Westbound direction will not use K Street NW, proceeding instead along Pennsylvania Avenue and M Street NW.

The following stops in the Westbound direction will not be served:

– Lower K Street NW / 30th Street;

– Lower K Street NW / Wisconsin Avenue;

– Wisconsin Avenue NW / M Street

Normal service on the route will resume on Monday, September 25.
