DC Circulator Offers Special Modified Service for NMAAHC Opening

The DC Circulator will provide special service on its National Mall route to better serve attendees of the National Museum of African American History and Culture’s (NMAAHC) grand opening, Saturday, September 24, 2016.

Due to road closures on Madison Drive NW and Jefferson Drive SW, the route will be modified to provide more direct service along Independence Avenue SW. The stop closest to the festivities will be on 12th Street SW and Independence Avenue SW (directly across the Smithsonian Metro exit).


The National Mall route will operate its special modified  service September 24-25.

Saturday Special Modified Service
7 am to 2 pm
Stops Serviced:
• Union Station (on E Street NE at Columbus Circle)
• Independence Avenue at 4th Street SW
• Independence Avenue at 6th Street SW
• Independence Avenue at 12th Street SW

2 pm to 8 pm (Museum Loop)
Stops Serviced:
• Union Station (on E Street NE at Columbus Circle)
• Madison Drive at 4th Street NW
• Madison Drive at 7th Street NW
• Madison Drive at 12th Street NW
• Jefferson Drive at 12th Street SW
• Jefferson Drive at 7th Street SW
• 3rd Street NW near Madison Drive NW


Sunday Special Modified Service
9am to 8pm (Museum Loop) 
Stops Serviced:
• Union Station (on E Street NE at Columbus Circle)
• Madison Drive at 4th Street NW
• Madison Drive at 7th Street NW
• Madison Drive at 12th Street NW
• Jefferson Drive at 12th Street SW
• Jefferson Drive at 7th Street SW
• 3rd Street NW near Madison Drive NW

Regular service will resume on Monday, September 26, 2016, with the exception of the ongoing closure of stop 5.
