Service Alert: Circulator to Modify Service on Union Station-Navy Yard Metro Route for President’s Address to Congress on 2/28

DC Circulator to Modify Service for the President’s Address to Congress on Tuesday, February 28

The President’s Address to Congress will lead to road closures affecting the Union Station-Navy Yard Metro route. To accommodate the event, the following service changes will be in effect starting at 3 pm on Tuesday, February 28:

Road closures around the U.S. Capitol will impact bus service on 1st Street NE/SE. The Circulator will detour to utilize 4th Street NE/SE and 6th Street NE/SE to connect Pennsylvania Avenue to Constitution Avenue. The following stops will not be served:

  • Maryland Ave NE / 1st St. (U.S. Capitol) [Southbound]
  • Independence Ave. SE / 2nd St. [Southbound]
  • Pennsylvania Ave. SE / 5th St. [Southbound]
  • Independence Ave. SE/1st St. [Northbound]
  • 1st St. NE/Maryland Ave. (Supreme Court) [Northbound]

Regular service on the route will resume on Wednesday, March 1.
