Service Advisory: Nation’s Triathlon to Affect National Mall Route

On Sunday, September 13, 2015, the DC Circulator’s National Mall Route will operate on the following detour due to road closures and traffic changes during the Nation’s Triathlon:

The detour will be in effect from 7am – 3pm.

The following stops will be closed:

Stop 5 – Washington Monument / National Museum of African American History and Culture (Opens 2016)
15th St. SW / Jefferson Dr.

Stop 6 – Holocaust Memorial Museum / Bureau of Engraving and Printing
15th St. NW near Main Ave.

Stop 7 – Thomas Jefferson Memorial
E. Basin Drive SW at Jefferson Memorial

Stop 8 – Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial / Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
W. Basin Dr. SW near Independence Ave.

Stop 9 – Lincoln Memorial / Korean War Veterans Memorial
Lincoln Memorial Circle SW

Instead of servicing the above stops, buses will follow the route below and service two temporary stops.
Right on 14th NW
Left on Constitution NW
Left on Henry Bacon Dr
Right on Lincoln Memorial Circle
Right on 23rd St NW
Right on Constitution
Resume route at Stop 10 – Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Constitution Ave. NW / 21 St.

Temporary stops will be located at the following locations:
Henry Bacon Dr
Constitution & 18th St NW
