Free Shuttle Service: Celebrate Frederick Douglass’ 200th Birthday

Saturday, February 17 – Sunday, February 18 the National Park Service will celebrate the life and legacy of Frederick Douglass with one of the biggest celebrations of Douglass’s life at a National Park site.

The DC Circulator is proud to participate in the festivities by offering free shuttle service to Frederick Douglass House from the Anacostia Metro Rail Station Bus Terminal on Bay G from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and from 11:30 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Use the Green Line and exit at the Anacostia Metro Station on the “Howard Road” exit. Follow signage to meet the shuttle on Bay G.

Please note, if you park at the Anacostia Metro Rail Station parking facility, you will need to exit the parking facility, walk along Howard Road and re-enter the Anacostia Metro Rail facility to walk to the Bus Terminal site and find the shuttle. National Park Service staff and volunteers will be available to assist you.

There will also be shuttle service to the site from the Anacostia Arts Center on Good Hope Rd.

Shuttles will run every 10 to 15 minutes during the scheduled timeframe.
