At the beginning of October 2014, we asked riders to highlight the great things about the Circulator using #loveDCCirculator on social media. A DC Circulator Love Story

Rolando Amaya and Nicole Van Vooren started off sharing quick glances on the Circulator and later fell in love.

Roland and Nicole commuted on the Woodley Park- Adams Morgan – McPherson Square Metro route, where they admired each other for months. They finally engaged in conversation during an event for a mutual friend. From there, they shared “a mini bus date” before having an official first date. A connection was created during the “bus date” so after dating and commuting the couple got married on June 7, 2014.

Read more about their romance from The Washington Post.
